アメリカの大学(だいがく)で経営学(けいえいがく)を学(まな)びました。卒業後(そつぎょうご)、フロリダ州(しゅう)にあるウォルトディズニーワールドでゲストリレーションズキャストメンバーとして働(はたら)きました。現在(げんざい)は、日本(にほん)で英会話講師(えいかいわこうし)として働(はたら)いています。日本語講師(にほんごこうし)の資格(しかく)は持(も)っていませんが、アメリカに住(す)んでいる間(あいだ)、友達(ともだち)に日本語(にほんご)を教(おし)えていました。 After graduating from an American college, I worked as a Guest Relations Cast Member at Walt Disney World in Florida, USA. Hello! My name is Chika. I am Japanese.
I worked as a teacher in Japanese elementary schools for over 30 years, mostly teaching lower grades. After retiring, I worked for three years at a Japanese school in Abu Dhabi. Now, I work a little at a nearby elementary school.
I live with my husband, and we have three children, but now it’s just the two of us.
My hobby is running. I enjoy participating in marathon races and have completed three full marathons. Usually, I run at my own pace. I love cheering for others and being cheered on. I also enjoy baking bread, especially simple hard bread and bread with nuts and raisins.
From my experience in Abu Dhabi and teaching lower grades, I am good at speaking in simple and easy-to-understand words. I am also studying counseling, so I can help with worries and problems.
While grammar and pronunciation are important, I value the desire to communicate with others. I look forward to having fun conversations with those who are interested in learning and speaking Japanese.

I have been working as a consultant of international exchange since I stayed in Canada for 1 year on working holiday. I had been watching for many years through Japanese students the difficulty of speaking foreign language and understanding cultures for the first time going abroad. Also watched lots of smiles and such a sense of accomplishment when they were able to communicate with the language. My next plan is to support people who would like to study Japanese or know more about Japan because I can learn as well through teaching. If you are elementary level, come in my class!
