For example:

• Subtle yet clear ways of declining → help maintain positive relationships

• Three writing systems (Hiragana, Katakana, Kanji)  → enable both efficient and nuanced expression

Everyone, let’s study technical aspects of Japanese communication and the cultural background behind it.
By acquiring Japanese language skills and learning about the culture, you will come to understand yourself better. As a result, you will not only move closer to achieving your personal goals (which I’d like to hear about!) but also gain a deeper appreciation of your own culture.

What we will study:

• You can consult about studying for JLPT N5 and N4 Exams (before N5, N5, and preparing for N4)
• For beginner-level orthodox study, we will use “Genki” (N5, N4)
• Learn phrases that help improve relationships with others (N4, N3)
      Work, bosses, colleagues, asking again, confirming, apologizing, customers, online
       meetings, etc.

• Study song lyrics while listening to Japanese music (N3, N2)

All lessons are fully customized to match your goals.

About me:
I have spent 37 years working globally in IT consulting, where I experienced both the challenges and the rewards of cross-cultural communication.
Over the past year, I have been training and gaining practical experience to become a professional Japanese language teacher, and I am on track to obtain my government qualified-certification in July 2026.
I look forward to creating enjoyable, engaging, and meaningful lessons together with you!

日本語(にほんご)は、3000年(ねん)以上(いじょう)の歴史(れきし)をもつ言葉(ことば)です。日本人(にほんじん)の考え方(かんがえかた)や気持(きも)ちを表(あらわ)すことができます。

たとえば、
・はっきり言(い)わないで、やさしく断(ことわ)る言い方(いいかた) → 他人(たにん)との関係(かんけい)がよくなります
・相手(あいて)を尊敬(そんけい)したていねいな言い方(いいかた) → 人(ひと)を大切(たいせつ)にできます
・３つの書(か)き方(かた)（ひらがな、カタカナ、漢字(かんじ)） → 効率的(こうりつてき)で豊(ゆた)かな表現(ひょうげん)ができます

みなさん、日本語(にほんご)を勉強(べんきょう)して、日本語(にほんご)で話(はな)せるようになりましょう。
そして、日本(にほん)の文化(ぶんか)についても知(し)りましょう。

日本語(にほんご)のスキルを身(み)につけ文化(ぶんか)を知(し)ると、自分(じぶん)を知(し)るようになります。その結果(けっか)、自分(じぶん)の目標(もくひょう)に近(ちか)づくことができます。そして、自分(じぶん)の文化(ぶんか)の良(よ)いところもよくわかるようになります。

次(つぎ)の勉強(べんきょう)をします：

1. JLPT N5・N4テストの勉強(べんきょう)について相談(そうだん)できます（N5の前(まえ)、N5、N4準備中(じゅんびちゅう)）
2. 初級(しょきゅう)レベルのオーソドックスな勉強(べんきょう)は「Genki」を使(つか)います（N5、N4）
3. 人(ひと)との関係(かんけい)をよくする言葉(ことば)を学(まな)びます（N4、N3）

　仕事(しごと)、上司(じょうし)、同僚(どうりょう)、聞(き)き返(かえ)し、確認(かくにん)、あやまる、客(きゃく)、オンライン会議(かいぎ) など

4．日本(にほん)の音楽(おんがく)を聞(き)きながら、歌(うた)の言葉(ことば)を勉強(べんきょう)します（N3、N2）
すべて、目標(もくひょう)に合(あ)わせて、勉強(べんきょう)の内容(ないよう)を決(き)めます。

私(わたし)について：
私(わたし)は37年間(ねんかん)、ITの仕事(しごと)をしてきました。
いろいろな国(くに)の人(ひと)と仕事(しごと)をして、話(はな)すことのむずかしさと楽(たの)しさを知(し)りました。
この1年間(ねんかん)、日本語(にほんご)教師(きょうし)になるために勉強(べんきょう)して、教(おし)える練習(れんしゅう)もしてきました。
国(くに)の資格(しかく)試験(しけん)にも合格(ごうかく)しました。
皆(みな)さんといっしょに、楽(たの)しく、参加型(さんかがた)で、意義深(いぎぶか)いクラスにしていきたいと思(おも)います。
