Self-introduction

みなさんこんにちは、あき（Aki）と申します！
自己紹介をご覧いただき、ありがとうございます！
Hello everyone, I’m Aki!
Thank you for taking the time to read my self-introduction!

私は、今年の３月まで日本の生命保険会社で10年間働いていましたが、
夫の海外転勤をきっかけに退職し、
4月からアメリカのテキサス州ヒューストンに在住しています。
I worked at a major life insurance company in Japan for 10 years until this March,but I left my job to follow my husband’s overseas transfer, and since April, I’ve been living in Houston, TX,USA.

人と話すのが大好きなので、友達と話すような楽しくリラックスしたフリートーク中心のレッスンを行います♪発音練習や旅行で使える会話、ビジネス用語や関西弁にも対応します。
「うまく話せるか不安…」という方も大歓迎！
ゆっくり、やさしくお話しするので安心してくださいね。
I love talking with people, so my lessons are fun and relaxed—like chatting with a friend!
We’ll mainly do free conversation, but I can also help with pronunciation, travel phrases, business terms, and even Kansai dialect.
If you’re worried about speaking, don’t worry—I’ll speak slowly and gently, so you can feel comfortable.

日本語講師は初めてで英語も得意ではありませんが、スムーズにコミュニケーションがとれるよう最善を尽くします。私も英語を勉強中なので、言葉を学ぶ大変さ、とてもよくわかります。
This is my first time teaching Japanese, and my English is limited, but I’ll do my very best to communicate with you smoothly.
I’m also studying English myself, so I really understand how challenging it can be to learn a new language.

新しい人と出会うことや、新しいことにチャレンジすることのが大好きです。
だからこそ、「日本語を学ぶ」というチャレンジをしている皆さんの気持ちを、心から応援したいと思っています！
I love meeting new people and trying new things.

趣味は、旅行・おいしいごはんやお酒があるお店の開拓、
その他、ゴルフや動画鑑賞（Netflix・Disney＋・Prime Video）です。
My hobbies include traveling and finding great restaurants and bars with delicious food and drinks.
I love golf! I also enjoy watching shows and movies on Netflix, Disney+, and Prime Video.
