Hello! I'm Chika.
★ About Me
I was an elementary school teacher in Japan for over 30 years, mostly teaching lower grade students.
After retiring, I worked for 3 years at a Japanese school in Abu Dhabi（UAE).
I have a husband and three children, but currently I live with just my husband.
★ My Hobbies
● Running
I enjoy participating in marathon races, and I've completed a full marathon before.
● Baking Bread
I love baking simple hard bread and loaves with nuts and raisins.
● Gardening
I enjoy growing flowers and vegetables, and taking care of fruit trees.
● Organizing & Storage
Recently, I became a certified professional organizer. I like finding ways to make my home more efficient and comfortable.

While grammar and pronunciation are important, I believe the desire to express yourself in Japanese matters most.
Let’s talk about daily life, your interests, or anything you’d like to share.
My lessons are perfect for learners who don't have many chances to speak Japanese.
I’ll listen patiently and speak clearly and slowly, so you can relax and enjoy the conversation.

★ For Children: Reading Aloud Practice
I offer reading aloud support for children who are attending Japanese schools.
Many schools assign reading aloud as homework. This helps develop memory, vocabulary, concentration, and reading comprehension by combining visual reading, vocal expression, and listening.
Please send me a photo of the textbook page before the lesson. Let’s practice together!

★自己紹介
私は日本の小学校で30年以上教員をしていました。特に低学年の子どもたちを教えることが多かったです。定年退職後、UAEのアブダビ日本人学校で3年間働きました。家族は夫と3人の子どもがいますが、今は夫と2人で暮らしています。
★趣味
○走ることマラソン大会に出ることが楽しみです。フルマラソンを走ったこともあります。
○パン作り
シンプルなハードパンやナッツやレーズンの入ったパンが得意です。
○ガーデニング
花や野菜を育てたり、果樹の手入れをしたりすることが好きです。
○整理収納
最近、整理収納アドバイザーの資格をとりました。家の中を使いやすく工夫することが好きです。
★レッスンについて
文法や発音も大切ですが、日本語で伝えたいという気持ちを大切にしています。普段の生活のことや興味のあることについて話をしましょう。
日本語を学んでいるけれど、日本語で話す機会が少ない人におすすめです。
ゆっくりていねいに聞きますので、リラックスして話をしましょう。
「みんなの日本語」を使ったレッスンもできます。何課をやりたいのかあらかじめ連絡してください。
★お子様の音読指導について
日本の学校に通っているお子様の音読のサポートをします。日本の多くの学校では「音読」の宿題が出ます。目で文字を読むこと、自分の声を耳で聞くこと、口を動かすことで記憶力、語彙力、集中力、読解力が向上します。
レッスンの前に教科書の写真を送ってください。一緒に練習しましょう。
