Let's learn Japanese collocation!

Japanese Expressions

コロケーションは「連語」ともいい、2語以上の単語が組み合わさり、よく使用される決まった表現です。

例えば、「ご飯を炊く」や「会議に出る」などのように、この言葉にはこの単語といったように決まった言葉が一緒に使われます。こうしたコロケーションは、特に明確なルールや文法に基づいているわけではありませんが、言えるようになれば、あなたも「ネイティブスピーカー」になれますよ。

Collocations, also known as "word combinations," refer to fixed expressions formed by the combination of two or more words that are frequently used. For example, words like "cook rice" or "attend a meeting" are often used together with specific other words. While these collocations aren't based on any particularly strict rules or grammar, being able to use them will make you sound more like a native speaker.
